Orlando and Huntsville Unite to Serve the Expanding Defense Simulation Market

Orlando, FL February 12, 2004-—The Planet Digital Training Center (PDTC) has formed a strategic partnership with C3 Interactive (C3I) out of Huntsville, AL. Carrying the full line of Discreet content development and digital media tools, C3I has chosen the Planet Digital Training Center to become their Orlando hub for training and to represent their presence in the Orlando market area. Partnering with Discreet and the Planet Digital Training Center will allow C3I to provide the top tier tools and productivity-enhancing training services that the Orlando simulation, gaming and commercial industries will require.

“The large and continually diversifying 3D market of Orlando has alerted us to the opportunity that exists in serving the needs of this robust and exciting community,” emphasizes Tom Colbey, Jr., President of C3I, Inc. “We feel it simply makes sense to leverage the Planet Digital Training Center’s authorized Discreet Training Specialists to complete our product and service offerings to our new customers in Central Florida.”

This alliance marks the first of many expected partnerships to come in the near future. The PDTC has plans to pair with local and national companies not only associated with a particular product and software line, but also those able to combine services with the training center in order to create a valuable local resource attuned to using training, production, and support to empower people to use digital media more effectively.

The two companies will be hosting four training seminars on February 16 and 17, 2004 at the PDTC’s Orlando facility. These 2-hour seminars are free to the public and cover an introduction to 3ds max 6 geared to applications for the Simulation and Training industry. Regardless of whether attendees have a background in the Military Modeling and Simulation industry, the material presented in these seminars can be very beneficial to the fledgling 3D designer seeking to learn more about the 3ds max 6 environment. Seminar registration information can be found online at http://training.planetdigital.com.

Taught by industry-certified instructors, classes are now being formed for the coming spring sessions. One-day to five-day courses are available now for beginning and advanced users, and class registration and additional information can be found online at http://training.planetdigital.com.
